Cookie information
What are cookies?
Cookies are small information text files that enable a website to record data about the user's browsing habits. Most websites have been using such cookies for the past 20 years, because they contribute to making the user experience more comfortable. With the help of cookies, the site can provide personalized services. (e.g. notes content of interest to the given user). The data recorded in this way cannot be linked to other personal data, we will not be able to identify you, they only make the operation of the website smoother (for example, it fills in your login data in advance) and gives us the opportunity to prepare statistics about the website.
What types of cookies are there?
We distinguish cookies based on several aspects. Let's start with who sets the cookie:
- first-party/internal cookies are set by the website visited by the user
- the third-party cookies are set by websites and domains that the user has not visited directly, this usually happens when the creator of the website includes third-party tracking codes, plug-ins, ads, etc. added to the website. These third parties may use similar technologies to collect data in order to send targeted advertising messages to users in connection with their own services. In such cases, the data management is governed by the data protection regulations set by these third parties, and we assume no responsibility for such data management.
We also make difference between cookies from the point of view of Validity period:
- there are temporary cookies(session cookies), which do not have a validity period, as they are deleted when the browser is closed
- and there are permanent cookies(persistent cookies), which are not deleted by the browser, but remain active until they are deleted or expire.
In terms of Functions there are also:
- Functional (technical) cookies, which are essential for the proper functioning of a website. They enable navigation between pages, access to secure areas of the website and storage of the page's language settings.
Functional cookies, which allow a website to store user-set preferences, such as username, region, or language settings. These cookies improve the user experience and offer visitors more customized content.
- Performance-enhancing (analytical) cookies that collect information about how visitors use a website, for example which pages they visit most often or what error messages they receive. This data helps the website owner to improve the site's performance and user experience. Analytics cookies usually collect anonymous data.
- Targeted (advertising) cookies, which facilitate the display of advertisements according to the visitors' interests. These cookies also track visitors' browsing activities on other websites and create profiles of users' interests. Targeted cookies are often used by advertisers and social media sites.
